I have a 1972 30' SeaRaider with twin 318's. Best speed I have been able to get is both engines at about 3900 RPM's and 34 MPH on GPS with perfect lake conditions and two full gas tanks (60 gals. each). I am not sure of the prop specs but my boat gets lifted out after Thanksgiving (Canadian) I will ...

1972 Sea Raider
I have 318's in my 30 foot Sea Raider, top speed I have managed to get is 33.5 mph (on GPS). Perfect conditions no wind, flat lake but fully loaded, gas tanks full and while on a two week vacation so the boat was loaded with weight.

When they pull it out for the winter I am going to have to check them out, get more information and then I 'll be back. The marina is replacing the plugs, wires and distributors this week. We'll see what that does. I just purchased her in October of last year. I called the previous owner but all he ...

RPM'S
The RPM's in neutral are ~ 750. I put on a snorkel and there is no buildup around the props. I will check the trim tabs next weekend (did not think of that) . The mechanic is suggesting carb rebuilding, not being a mechanic I just thought it odd both engines at full throttle are still the same. I th...

RPM question 1972 Trojan
I purchased a 1972 30' Searaider last year and we just finished our vacation up in Georgian Bay. Lots of fun and mostly sunny days. During the trip the most I could get out of the Twin 318's was about 3100 RPM's. In smooth water the top end was about 25 mph and in rough water about 18 mph at top end...

Refinishing a Teak deck, 1972 SeaRaider
I have just purchased a 1972 Trojan SeaRaider 30'. The back deck has been covered for a number of years with carpeting. Under the carpet the wood is teak with black lines. The colour has faded and I would like to redo it this winter and return the wood to the original "look". Any suggestio...
