Re: LM360 Engine Removal
Thanks all... Prowlerfish.... the port engine has two cylinders on borderline compression, and runs hot....., starboard engine is fine, but both engines are somewhere over 1500 hours. ACK on the transmission replacement that might be needed. I'm inclined to just get the engines rebuilt at Island Rac...

Re: LM360 Engine Removal
Perhaps one other question...... Would you guys re-power, or rebuild the current engines? My gut feel is to remanufacture / rebuild - yet the argument for a repowerr in terms of parts in future and a warranty are compelling. Financially my guess is a rebuild will cost me less than a repower..... but...

LM360 Engine Removal
Has anyone lifted / removed LM360 engines from their F32's and passed them through the salon door....and specifically does anyone have photo's available In an argument with my Marina, who says the engines won't fit through the door opening but based on some old photo's I recall in the forum, this is...

SP Tanks and replacement fuel tanks
Hi all... reached out to SP tanks, Florida tanks and Luther tanks vis a vis replacement saddle tanks. Luther tanks had designs and measurements for 48 gal tanks. Have not received a response from Florida Tanks yet. However, I received the following from SP tanks and post only for info as many here h...

fuel flow sensor question
Hi all.... Forgive my absence....too much time overseas..... Anyways, I followed a discussion on fuel flow sensors and have a query on who has installed Garmin GFS10's on their boat. I looked at the installation instructions which said the sensor had to be placed above the maximum fuel height of tan...

Re: need advice - damage
Thanks everyone....
I have asked a pro to come, some time ago, he just hasn't made it there yet, maybe I need to ask "another" pro.....
WRT to colour change, yes, I'd like to do that, but gobsmacked at the first price quotes I received - but may end up having to do that.
Thanks again,
G

the vent question - F32
Thought I'd start this as a different thread. Mine is a 1979, but it is a late 1979, the boat came off the line in late November 1979, and was shipped to the first owner in February of 1980. So in my books, its a 1980 model year if you will. It is true, vent placement was changed after the Sea Mar t...

need advice - damage
As some of you know, I'm in the military. At the end of Sep, early Oct, just before haul out, I was in the Pacific and while there, there was a fairly fierce storm on Lake Champlain. Not much to do about it from 5,000 miles away. I am on the windward side of my marina, and took the brunt of winds. S...

Re: hand rubbed cetol table
thanks mike...... The inlay comes in strips, all different patterns and widths - buy them from a shop on Montreal. But the plus has been - aside that I don't have to make and cut them - is that the inlay gives a continuity to a number of pieces. My dinette table, my tv stand and the cockpit table al...

Hi all.... Happy New Year first of all..... Just thought I'd post this to share something I tried with Cetol and Cetol Gloss.... I built a table top over Christmas.....the base wood is pine, topped with a teak veneer. The border is oak. The border is stained with miniwax red oak to pull colours from...

Re: Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
+1 to all our US friends
to quote from the Canadian Act of Remembrance......
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
