I need to replace all of the porthole gaskets on my 1978 Trojan F 44. Does anybody know where the best place is to find them or even better, have a sense of exactly what to buy? Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: F44 (or any other Crusairs) A/C condensate leak
Ron, Thank you for the compliment on my boat! I installed a new cruisair system a few years ago and actually installed it in one of the cabinets just below the steps into the salon. So I have full access to it. I ran the condensation line down through the engine compartment and then behind the batte...

Re: F44 (or any other Crusairs) A/C condensate leak
I have a 79 F44, had a similiar issue and found that the drain at the condensation tray in the salon unit was disconnected. I have unused small drain holes which are plugged so I re ran my condensation line to the aft stateroom shower sump box. With my aft unit I had a similiar issue. I went in thro...

I am on the Sassafras River and would be willing to travel to Rock Hall or north of the sassafras up the C&D.

Re: led interior strip lighting
Before you buy any, you need to take a look at XK glow.com. My brother-in-law told me about them, after installing them in his boat and I bought the carbon series with the controller from my phone and I love them. They have a lifetime guarantee, were much cheaper than most other brands, and I have e...

I would be interested if it was in the upper bay and it wasn't during one of the weeks I was on vacation elsewhere.

Re: waste tank hoses - smell
I have a 1979 F44 and dealt with both stinking waste hoses and a horrible smell coming from stagnant water in the hollow keel. With the hoses, if you rub one with your fingers and you can smell the hose on your fingers, they need to be replaced. My understanding is that it is actually a fungus you c...

What To Use To Remove Haze On Interior Wood
I have a slight milky looking haze on my interior woodwork on my F44. I have tried a couple of cleaners and cannot seem to get it off. It seems to smear when I wipe it off or even go away completely however it then comes back. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use to clean this? Any re...

Re: Up Grades
Last year I got 4/5 of the way through my refit. This year I plan to complete a lot of the cosmetic work I couldn't get to. I am going to paint the decks, refinish the teak railings, strip and refinish the mahogany in the forward head, finish the teak work on the bridge, install LED strip lighting o...
