Close calls/ breakdowns/ weird stuff while boating
Musta been forty years ago. I had a 15 foot Larson bowrider with a 40 horse Mercury outboard that I kept near my inlaws cottage on the Ogunquit River in Maine. At low tide the boat sat in the sand. At high tide I could go under a low bridge and enter the Gulf of Maine. It was always turbulant at the...

Re: Dockage Fees
$83 a year gets me a mooring on the Wareham river, I keep a dinghy on the beach. I had to buy the mooring tackle for $1500 including installation. Every three years the town says I need to have the tackle inspected for $100. For the winter, I store it at a Marina in nearby Fairhaven MA. for $1400 (i...

Re: When Do you Give Up?
You bought her for 21k and put 8k into her? I think you're still ahead of the game. I paid 21k for my '75 and invested more than 8 in her in the past three years. And that's doing all the work myself. I'm not a marine mechanic but if I can figure it out, anyone can. I agree with many others on this ...

Re: F-32 with Lehman 120 deisels
It's basically a good lookin' trawler. Cruises at 10 mph @ 1600 rpm. Uses 2 gph. Max rpm is 2400, I never took 'em there 'cuz I like to go slow. Previous ownes says it will plane.

Re: F-32 with Lehman 120 deisels
Thank you for welcoming me to the forum. I've had my 1975 F-32 for three years now. GINGER LEE always gets favorable comments everywhere I go thanks to its timeless good looks, and it's strong enough to survive the typical Buzzards Bay chop. I did some modifications to suit our cruising style: since...

Re: F-32 with Lehman 120 deisels
It was repowered in 2008 by a tugboat captain from Kingstown R.I. I bought it in 2011. I'm keeping it forever, that's how much I enjoy this vessel. I boat out of Wareham MA. http://www.rickcoraccio.com/boat/
