Anyone Familiar With "Second Impulse" a 1985 10M Express in the MD Area?
I just purchased a 1985 10M Express named "Second Impulse" from an auction in the Maryland area. Any one familiar with it? Its on its way to me now. I live in Michigan and its my 2nd 10m. I bought it site unseen with the exception of 6 photos from the auction. Most interested in the histor...

Re: Trojan 10 Meter Express Shore Power Issue
Mike thank you, I ordered 2 inlets today just incase they are the culprit. Capt G, great thought but I did check if my cables had power with a tester and they do so I don't think that's the issue but I will check again anyway. Basically my check list is: Test power at shore station test power at cab...

Re: Trojan 10 Meter International Express Resurrection Post
Thank you everyone for the wonderful wishes, time to tinker sure is scarce now but I'm getting it done. Here is a few more progress photos. The tops are done, bar refinished, seats all in, side panels in and new floor which I still need to do a bit of trimming. Best of all she's floating! http://img...

Trojan 10 Meter Express Shore Power Issue
Finally this weekend the boat was ready enough to launch. When I got to my slip and connected the shore power nothing happened. With the little time I had before I had to leave I checked: The shore station breakers were checked and they were on. With an outlet tester I had in my tool bag I check the...

Re: Trojan 10 Meter International Express Resurrection Post
Its been a while... Well I posted updated photos of the progress of my 10 meter. Interior will be completely in by this coming weekend, and the new window should be done by then as well. Carpet guy was out yesterday and should have the deck carpet cut and bound by Wednesday, as well as the name and ...

Re: Trojan 10 Meter International Express Resurrection Post
That Interior looks awesome, I haven't decided what way to go yet. My upholstery on the deck is nearly complete and my cabin interior was just sent off to be done. I know I haven't posted any progress in a while but progress is being made. The electronics are piled up in my basement ready to be inst...

Trojan 10 Meter International Express Resurrection Post Fire
Lets begin with a little background. There was a post back around Christmas about a Trojan for auction that had fire damage. Without seeing that post, since I was not a member of the site then, I found the auction listing while browsing EBay. I immediately decided to by the boat. It helped that it w...

Re: International For Auction
Ok guys, so I was out of town for the rest of January but my fiberglass and paint guy has been moving along. Here is a link to the images of what has been completed to date. The shop is cramped so a whole boat photo is impossible right now but this will give you a great idea of where I'm going with ...

Re: Cockpit Flooring Synthetic Teaks ... Any Experiences?
The stuff im interested in can be cut and bound like carpet.RWS wrote:I would LOVE to do the interior cabin in my express like that.
The problems are the curved steps and the floor hatches.
How do you deal with those?
Photos?

Re: Cockpit Flooring Synthetic Teaks ... Any Experiences?
I put Shaw Vinyl Locking Plank florring in my 10 meter. It is a floating fllor, I attached it at the perimeters with carpet tape. It looks great, is easy to install, and will not be affected by water or other liquids. It comes in many styles including Teak. Can be bought at Lowes. I have used that ...

Re: Cockpit Flooring Synthetic Teaks ... Any Experiences?
Sorry I can't offer any useful advise other than to say, that is very cool looking stuff. The images that they have on their site of it in boats gives me much to ponder! That's exactly what I said and why I want it. Plus if it drains as they claim mold and mildew shouldn't be an issue. She will hav...
