Re: Weak discharge with steam

I labeled the photos in the wrong order but you get the idea. Also, the second hose blew after I replaced the circulating water pump, not before. But it had nothing to do with the pump and replacing it was a complete waste of time and money. Anyway, hope his helps another person in the future and po...

Re: Weak discharge with steam

Thanks for all the advice: Ok, just to close the loop on this one and provide some lessons learned for others in the future see below. This was a new expereince for me, but I am sure other folks have done it many times and knew the whole time. For those new members who run into the same symptoms: Is...

Re: Weak discharge with steam

Thats very interesting about the gaskets. I will check that. I guess its better/easier to check the risers before jumping to the heads. Will blockage cause steam in the discharge stream though? The steam makes me fear water in the cylinders, but boy riser blockage would be much easier to deal with. ...

Weak discharge with steam

Hi, I need some advice: I got and F28 this year and love it. Both raw water cooled 318 engines run perfect. They start right up. But my port engine has very little salt water discharge and steam coming out. The engine overheats. I did blow a hose on a short run and saw water squirting out  so...

Re: F28 Bimini or camper top

Thanks for the advice guys. So I picked up a pontoon boat bimini top just to keep the shade and rain off me. Also my flybridge deck core is soft, so water will pool under the helmsman chair and then leak into the cabin slowly. Re-coring that deck is on my list of off season chores. But I can get by ...

Re: F-32 Deadrise for through-hull transducer

I was wondering how these puck style transducers worked out? My new (old) F 28 is in the water and I can't install a permanent transducer until after the season. I am getting either a Lawrence or Garmin (not sure yet) plotter/fish finder combo and really need an accurate depth gauge more than anythi...

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

Replacing the fuel tanks is on my list, which is getting pretty long, of things to chip away at accomplishing.

F28 Fuel Curve

Hi, getting used to my new (old) F28 with twin 225's. Wondering if anyone out there happens to have installed a fuel monitoring system on a twin F28 and could post GPH used per every 500 RPM? I am mostly interested i lower RPM's. I know every boat is different for many reasons (bottom growth, props,...

F28 Bimini or camper top

I just picked up an F28 and need some bimini or camper top advice. My first "big" boat. Anyone have any advice on getting a simple bimini in terms size and source? I am wondering if they are all pretty much the same size from 28' - 30+'. I don't want to go all out and have anything custom ...
