Re: 1977 tricabin
Also, that boat has a cross-over switch which allows both main banks to be supplied with only one 30A cord. Make sure that switch is in the OFF position. This alone could be your problem if you are running 2 30A supply feeds.

Re: 1977 tricabin
Start with purchasing the manual on that particular boat from Bob and Beacon Marine ! Tracking electrical is a process. First check your GFI at the source; then the lines from the source to the boat; Then shut off all breakers in the panel AND both 30A main breakers in the boat and plug in...if it d...

Re: Trojan F36 Port Motor Starting Problem
Have you considered the possibility that it is a fuel issue? You may be getting a vapor lock. Since this happens after you shut down the engine; the heat from the engine may be boiling the fuel. Is the fuel line running up against the engine or close to it; may be able to insulate the line and route...

Re: Steering Parts???...Ball Joints
I can't load my pics of the retainer inside of the tie rod socket. there are 2 half-moon shaped sockets on each side of the ball socket. they are 1" diameter x 1/2" long w/a milled slope to accommodate the ball when inserted.

Steering Parts???...Ball Joints
Greetings all... I have a 1976 Tri-Cabin. While investigating some of the slop in my steering, I discovered lots of slack in the ball joints on the connecting pipe and steering rod. After removing the kotter pin and retaining nut from the ball joint assembly, I found several broken and worn retainin...

Re: Waste/Holding Tank Line Size ?
Thank you guys for the input....1-1/2" it is ! FYI, I will be installing 2 - 1-1/2" vents; one on each side of the boat and at front and back of tank to get cross ventilation and to prevent collapse!

Waste/Holding Tank Line Size ?
Greetings everyone, I have gotten a lot of helpful information from this site since purchasing my F-36 late last year. I have been taking 1 week a month to do all my desired upgrades/repairs. I am down to the last thing on my list…the waste holding tank. My 1975 did not have a holding tank; however,...

Re: oil transmission cooler for Chrysler 318
I bought one a few months ago from go2marine. On time delivery, worked perfectly. It came primed, so you will have to spray paint it the final color. Mine was for a Chrysler 400; cost about $90.00. Here is a link to all the sizes they stock.... http://www.go2marine.com/product/100041F/oil-coolers-re...

Re: steering
I have a '76 F36 tri-cabin w/helm up top. There is an access panel in the back of the wall cabinet over the stove to the chain adjustment. there is a turn-buckle w/locknut to adjust the chain. May want to check your gear cog at the bottom to make sure the bearing housing bolts are tightened before a...

Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Your project is awesome and very educational! Thanks for documenting everything so well. How did you pressure wash the inside of the tank through the small filler tube hole. Did you just drop in a pressure hose and tip and let it randomly spray the inside? I need to do the same thing to my tanks. H...
