Impellers

You know ........... Impellers are CHEAP. I change my out every spring and keep new spares on the boat all the time. Impellers will set to memory over time and do not push as much water once that happens. It's just not worth the chance or money to me. As Joe says, they start to dry out with lack of ...

Bildging

If you are bilging more than every three or four hours, you may need to take a look at your bottom. You are always going to leak around your shaft packings. I just finished a new bottom job after I completely re-sealed all the planks and stern from the keel beam down this last winter. I am bilging a...

Check it out at: http://grovegourmets.com/trojan.html Well cared for vessel. It has been real good t...

I purchased a 1966, Sea Voyager 42' (Old Duke) four years ago. My family and I have had some great times with it. We keep it on the Grand Lake O'the Cherokees in Northeastern Oklahoma. Just finished with some hull work this past 4 months and is now back in the water. Planning to take it out tomorrow...

Props

Local shop told me they could repair the one I thought was gone. Amazing what can be done with bronze. Will be reconditioned and balanced in about two weeks.

Thanks for the tread.

Used Propellers

It is time for prop replacement on a Sea Voyager. Is there any recommendations where I might find some used ones. With all the coastal desasters  over the last couple years should be lots of spares pilling up. Any help would be appriciated.

Prop Sizing

On the phone this morning with General Propellar out of Florida. Looks like the coding 4RH21 is a 21" Dia, RH rotation prop and pitch not in the number. Talking with GP, they are recommending running a 23" Dia. X 20" pitch using 4-blade for cruise. rossjo: You are rigth on the Parigon...

Yes, I understand the 1968 was the first year the Sea Voyager 42' was made. I currently have the 22nd one built. Anyway, I currently know of a 69 Sea Voyager 42 in nice condition in Ketchum, Oklahoma. Contact Willow Park Marina (find it on search), they may have it listed in their boats sales sectio...
