Re: 1963 36' Sea Voyager overheating starboard engine
Thanks, I replaced the impeller yesterday. Dug out all the remaining vanes after the new impeller didn't want to go all the way in. Started it up after pouring a couple gallons of water down a coolant hose leading to it from the heat exchanger tank.... Good news! Lots of water coming out the exhaust...

1963 36' Sea Voyager overheating starboard engine
So I took my new Voyager on its maiden voyage yesterday and the engine alarm went off on the starboard engine immediately. I shut it down and continued up river a few miles anyway...probably not the best move... and made it back OK. No fun entering the marina w one screw to tie up. Made it with no u...

Re: BACKFIRE AT WOT STARBOARD ENGINE
Sounds like a lean condition. If you had access to a known good carb and swapped it out temporarily you could isolate the problem to the carb if it runs OK afterwards. Could be any number of problems though.

Re: 1963 Trojan Sport fisher? / Sea Voyager?
Thanks for the replies. The owner is retiring from the Army Corps of Engineers and heading to Japan he says. His last day on the boat is this coming Saturday. I didn't buy the Trojan to try and make a killing profit wise. I'd like to find it a home and an new owner that wants to save it. Just not su...

Re: 1963 Trojan Sport fisher? / Sea Voyager?
A sedan aye. So the fact it's not leaking doesn't mean the hull is OK? I may have found a 40' trailer I could pull it out with. Not sure as it's for a Snake river jet tour boat and the shape may be wrong. The guy I got it from says he thinks it'd be worth $4000-5000 tied up at a dock in Portland but...

1963 Trojan Sport fisher? / Sea Voyager?
Hi. New to forum. I just purchased a 1963 (according to title) Trojan. The newest Survey says it's a Sea Voyager but the flying bridge has a "Sport Fisher" logo on it. I can't seem to find much info on this boat. Survey says hull number is 414415 and has a mahogany plank hull. This boat ha...
