Thanks, I replaced the impeller yesterday. Dug out all the remaining vanes after the new impeller didn't want to go all the way in. Sounds like a lean condition. If you had access to a known good carb and swapped it out temporarily you could isolate the problem to the carb if it runs OK afterwards. Could be any number of problems though.
