Re: SeaWolf Windlass 520
I made my own handle just out of stock aluminum. (one piece). If I can remember I will measure the thing tonight, and post measurements here.

Re: emergency power
Prowlersfish you are a genius. All the labels had been taken off my box, but your picture helped me find it. Now I will see if it is working. Thank you so much for the info.

Re: emergency power
I have ALMOST convinced myself that this feature is not present on our 12 meter motor yacht. The port engine fired right up. The starboard engine would not. It would not even with "emergency power" button depressed. Come to find out my 8D batt on the starboard side was bad. If the batts we...

Re: emergency power
I am going to try and have my wife hit the emergency power button while I sit in the engine room and listen for a click.

emergency power
All, Having trouble finding any "solenoid" that "connects the two starting batteries together" for "emergency power". Have the twin CAT 3208TA on a 12 meter Trojan Motor Yacht. Also, it says in the wiring diagram that the batts are automatically connected when you are s...

El L Sea ,
I like your solution better. VERY NICE that you added the amps in. Great job and clean looking.

POWER PANEL UPGRADE FOR 12m
I had one of my power meters die, so I had to upgrade to electronic ones (with polarity checker included). My polarity checkers were dead also, so I thought this was a decent solution for now. I got TAISS TA106B units and popped them into the panel (had to modify the holes just a bit).

Re: Changing toilet system from vaccuflush???
I did convert one of our two toilets from "VACCUFLUSH" to macerator (and it goes to a seperate tank). It is working like a champ so far (1 month). I set up a timer for 30 seconds on the macerator pump, so you push a button, flush the toilet, 30 seconds later the macerator shuts off. So, no...

Re: VDO gauge
I was going to get the matching sender, but I am having trouble finding one. I also have the problem of now my port and starboard pressure gauges don't match (so I would like to go one way or the other, but I REALLY had trouble finding the old gauge).

Re: VDO gauge
Update, I think you are right about the gauge being a transmission oil pressure gauge. I could find nothing in my owner's manual about the gauge, so I was guessing. As a temp fix, I was able to get a VDO 400 psi gauge and put it in so that I would know I have pressure. It was about $30. I am either ...

VDO gauge
All,
My port Turbocharger oil pressure gauge (VDO, 0-350 psi) (at least that is what I think it is, it usually runs at 160 psig) has gone dead and I am having a hard time finding a replacement. Does anyone know of a source of NOS gauges that might have one of these?

That is funny. I was stationed in Wyoming at a Minuteman III base. Good times. Long ago. Me not skinny any longer.

Re: 12 meter mystery tank
Well, the saga continues. Since the two tanks are tied together, I have discovered a new problem. There is an "access hatch" about 7 inches in diameter on top of the "original" mid-line fiberglass tank. This "hatch" is leaking. Since the "add-on" tank is highe...

Re: 12 meter mystery tank
The tanks are indeed "tied together". When you start filling the aluminum tank beside the water heater, it starts dumping water down into the fiberglass "hull" tank. Once the "hull" tank is filled, the aluminum tank gets filled, and boom, all is done. We have a small sm...
