Re: 10 meter mid cabin duct question
Totally my plan to make this a priority. Why I was asking for a layout. Not really sure where what goes. I have some that's metal and some that's more plastic. But all about 3 inch.

10 meter mid cabin duct question
So I have remains of ducting in my engine room. I cant tell if it was previously part of the A/C or Blower or both. Does anyone have a picture or layout of what that ducting should be or can describe it? I have a few small 2'-3' pieces left here and there throughout but nothing really attached to an...

Re: Engine issues
Did I miss where you checked fuel filters for gunk? Gas tanks still the original galvanized steel? I’m only a lil old F26 with single Chrysler 318 but was having some of the same weird engine issues, especially at 3K RPM or over. Prior owner used to “solve” it with dry gas, but he only kept the tan...

Re: Engine issues
Backfiring through the carb is often a lean condition. I am guessing you checked the external fuel filters, but did you check the filter on the quadrajet fuel inlet? Checked that one too. I might try to retune it. I tuned to vacuum 19-20 psi and it runs great, maybe i need to richen it up at idle f...

Re: Engine issues
Sounds like you may have picked up some trash in the fuel filters nor even the check valves So yes on the stbd motor. I had some garbage in the fuel filter. I also seem to have a clogged vent. Port motor still acting up. It runs fine for a while like today i went 16miles out to a reef at around 270...

Re: Engine issues
Continuing saga. So took the boat out friday ran 14miles out fished a bit and drove back ZERO issues. Ran avg 21mph at 3k rpm I could have pushed more topped speed at 26mph close to 3500 rpm. Today I took the boat out again. I took the boat out again and went 17miles out no problems. Turned home wen...

Re: Engine issues
Yea, just rebuilt carbs and filters and the antisyphon valves.
I thought 15w30 I'll go 15w40 and its hot here South Alabama.
I haven't watched secondaries but have seen the choke go fully open.

Re: Engine issues
Couple of things... both temps - way too high. Running engines at different RPMs - why? If they were actually in synch you have gauge or wiring issues, if they were not in synch and you just chose to run them at different RPMs..... just gonna leave that one alone for now. 21mph for WOT - you are do...

Re: Engine issues
Tried a few things still can't get the fast idle down. Ran the boat yesterday for 22 miles top speed 21.4 mph. When we started out had a sound kind of like a pressure release ping of metal. Ran stbd at 3k rpm port 2.5k rpm as we came in port sped up to 2.7k on it's own. As we slowed down in the mari...

Re: ignition coils
What carbs? I know the edelbrock carbs need a higher shim. And if the shim is to great the bowl won't fill properly, to short it floods. New carbs or rebuilt? Check vacuum? Check spark on each plug? Drop test Stalling after warm sounds like fuel issue. Maybe check tuning on carbs as well. Check comp...

So since my screw does not exsist is tgere a different way? The other motor also does not uave the screw but fast idles perfect.
