Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Haven't got a ton done lately, in the process of taking a new job and going to have to move roughly 150 miles, so getting that figured out with the boat and everything. Did manage to get some staining done, the riser area behind the counters, and floors in. Going to have the regular bilge access, an...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Well, tossed the 60" and 15" cabinet in, had to rip a 1/4" off the left and right sides, to make it fit, it was tight. Luckily the face frames have a 1/4" reveal, so sides went in flush. Going to make some doors for the back of the cabinet, sliders or something, so I can access t...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Wasn't talking about LS2 gassers, the new LM2's they came out with in 2019/2020, 3L inline 6 diesels. They can be had with single digit miles, for 8500 w/ a transmission. I'm sure the trans would go for a couple grand. Pretty cheap diesel option that would just need some R&D to fit up. And makes...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Mine has a few soft spots up on the forward deck. Inboard stringers also will need to be done, engine room back. Leaving that for last, lol. Was being used as-is, but everyone has their own standards. Anything can be fixed. In the end, still far cheaper then a new boat, and more fun when its somethi...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Now the hardest thing of this whole build, I have a feeling, is going to be finding a replacement flybridge acrylic windshield. That piece that wraps around the flybridge, to keep spray back I'm guessing. Mines cracked, and half of it is missing. No clue how I would get one made, or replaced. So if ...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Might be moving the couch to the other side, so I can put a TV stand on that side, and have an L shaped snack bar, coming off the kitchen divider. Basically will be my replacement dinette, as where the original dinette was, I'm going to be putting in 60" worth of cabinets, and moving the sink t...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Since I am trying to do this on the cheaper side of things, I scored a free new RV couch, take out from a new Keystone RV? I Think it was. They wanted bike racks, I wanted a couch, so it was a win-win. Slapped together a frame for this lightweight thing. Will get finished more later on. Also got the...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Finished up the sound system wiring, got the two amps in, each amp controls 2 speakers and 1 sub, 1800 watts peak each. Salon speakers will run off the Infinity PRV515 head unit. Which imo is overpriced crap, thing is kinda slow and glitchy, but it matches things and it's NMEA2000 compatible, so wha...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Got to work gutting the inside a bit, pulling lots of old electronics and wiring, new sheeting on the teak engine hatch frames, as the old factory ones weren't even cut very straight. Plan on trimming it out in aluminum later on, after the floorings in. Also cleaned up the bilge area, scrubbed and s...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Of course had to start with some fun things, so got together what I wanted for the sound system, figured out the back deck placement, and got to work on that. Went with all Infinity, as it worked out great in my last boat. Finding space for the 10" subs proved to be a challenge, so had to make ...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
Had lots, and lots of things attached to the rails. Lots of old electronics mounted on the transom. So spent a lot of time drilling and filling. Flared all the holes out a lot with a ball grinder. Thickened epoxy w/ chop strand mixed in. Also some pics of going through some stuff in the interior. Se...

Re: 84' Trojan F32, in too deep?
So here's how the boat was when I picked it up. Guessing most people wouldn't even touch a project like this.
