Re: 1994 37’ Trojan cruiser
Air filter, I am assuming. If so, be careful. Black water tanks need oxygen to maintain an aerobic state. If they lack oxygen, it'll go into an anaerobic state and it'll stink to high heaven. It really does not matter where you place the filter along the line, just any place convenient for you to ch...

Whisperwall Headliner Replacement
We have a 1998 Trojan 440 Express with Whisperwall headliners that are currently sagging. The current vinyl is solid (non-perforated), which I believe is causing the issue since we've noticed that copious amounts of humidity causes the headliner to sag more than usual. We'd like to replace it with u...

Re: Swim platform integrity
I do not know the answer to your question, however in general, most swim platforms have a core ... especially older platforms. If you are considering drilling into the platform to mount anything, I share your concern. I'm currently planning on installing a pedestal mount for a Magma Grill on our 44'...

Re: Marina Contract
An update. In Michigan, boats are splashed a max of about 6 months each year ... so, boaters are not living on them permanently. Although, back in the 80s, I knew a guy in Holland Michigan that had a bubbler system and he tried wintering on his boat ... but he did it for one winter and he was done. ...

Re: Marina Contract
Is there anything in your old contract that voids it in the event of a sale? [redacted] May I ask what changes in the contract you don't like? I have not seen any marine contracts I do like myself. Safe harbor seems like its a lot of marketing hype Interestingly enough, there does not seem to be an...

Marina Contract
Last October we signed a contract for mooring space for 2022. Over the winter, Safe Harbor purchased the marina. Now, they are sending me requests that I upgrade my insurance and also a new contract to be signed. Frankly, there are clauses on the new contract that I don't like. They have been sendin...

Re: Various 98' 440 Express Questions
Thanks. The current mattresses are nasty and need to be replaced. I'm most likely going to go with Artisans Custom Mattress out of Saginaw Michigan. They can custom re-work TempurPedic mattresses. Expensive ... but, one gets what one pays for.

Mattress Dimensions
Greetings all. Does anyone have detailed dimensions for both the v-berth and guest berth mattresses on a 1998 Trojan 440 Express? I'm in Austin TX and my boat is currently in Saugatuck, MI ... and I'd like to order new mattresses before we head up there in a few months. Any recommendations on custom...

Re: Various 98' 440 Express Questions
Thanks prowlersfish ... that is mighty helpful. I want to be a good slip neighbor as well as ecologically friendly, so I will have the heaters looked at. A switch to control it sounds like a smart option.

Various 98' 440 Express Questions
Hello everyone. We bought a 1998 440 Express in Chicago late last October and just had enough time to get it across Lake Michigan to Saugatuck MI in time to get it put on-the-hard for the winter. We live in Texas, but will be spending summers on it. I have some questions and hoping y'all can help: 1...

Re: 1975 F32
Mine was blue ... with an arch. Perhaps it's a good thing it wasn't mine or I'd have to buy it from you! I share your excitement. We just purchased a 98 44' Trojan Express last October. All we were able to do it take it across Lake Michigan to put it on the hard for the winter. Spring cannot come fa...

Re: 1975 F32
Congratulations! My first boat ever was an 87' Sundancer 268 with twin 195 Mercs ... something rather rare for that size of a boat. Ya know,, I miss that boat more than any other. Not sure what it was about that boat, but it was flawless ... a little narrow of a beam, but I loved it just the same. Y...
