If you are going to pull them both out and you are uncertain if they went under water than you should replace them. I would replace them both with rebuilt motors. I have had good luck with Doug Russell Marine in Wocester and 1-800-runs -likenew. But you can also find some local deals if you look aro...

Before you rebuild your engines a question I have is why ? Being from the Northshore area of Ma. their are several good machine shops as well as some exchange shops that may work better for you. Do the motors run ? Or are you wanting to replace them due to age and uncerteinty of their condition. I r...

The Little Black Box Revisited
Hello All, I am not going to take the recommendation of my boat surveyor. My port side motor would not turn over due to a dead battery.( My wife had left everything on for several days when she had been on the boat hiding, pretending to be at work using her lap top and enjoying the day.) I used the ...

I had my F28 shipped from St Clair Shore Michigan to Newington NH. The marina out in Michigan charged me $2800.00 to remove and label the flybridge. It was not a hard job putting it back on. I had the marina in NH put the structure back on with a fork lift $50.00 and then I did the rest. It took me ...

I took pictures but I can't get them on this page. The black box is in my engine compartment. It has two red resets on it and both of my batteries hook into it on opposite sides. I then have my two power leads that go to my solenoids on each motor. My boat survey guy did say that it was part of my e...

The little Black Box
What does the little black electrical box do. I know that it works some what like a battery switch. The boat surveyer told me that I should take it out and put in a regular battery switch. Has anyone done this and if you have how is it done. (should I really do this?)
Thanks
Thanks

Intake Manafold
I have a 1979 Trojan f28. It has twin Chrysler 318's. I am looking for the correct part number for the intake manifold gaskets. The ones that I have bought do not cover the exhaust portsanks. comming out of the heads to warm the carberators and regulate the choke, or point me in the right direction....

Intake Manifold
I am trying to put my boat back together. I have an F28 1979. It has twin Chrysler 318's. The gasket set that I got does not fit. Where the exhaust comes from the heads to warm the carberator and regulate the choke is still exposed. Does anyone have the correct gasket set number for the intake manif...
