Thanks, from the shadows looks as if belt is just forward of the rise in the transom and at the aft window in the dinette.. If possible, more specific placement would be great!! Appreciate your effort to look. Surprised I didn't get any hits on this topic in the history

Sling Position on F-32

Can anyone provide the proper location to place the lifting slings on an F-32? Haven't found anything in the owners manual nor any markings on other local f32's. Don't believe it is necessary, particularly interested in the locations on 75 and 79 F32s

Thanks

jwrape, excellent write up. next project in my F32 is to get the Onan running. Has anyone used the "Point Saver Electronic ignition" as can be found on ebay?? I asked the purveyor of this device if it replaces the points and it does not. He suggests that it stops the back emf from the spar...

Is the AC reverse cycle and blowing hot air? I had this problem this year which lead me to a bad thermostat. If it is reverse cycle and your are getting hot air, you can remove one leg of the solenoid cable at the compressor which directs the flow of freon for cooling and heating. You can also remov...

Ken, As everyone else has conveyed, the black box does parallel up both starting batteries when cranking. I had thought this wasn't the case and was corrected and validated it as well through testing. I would keep it. Have not had a problem with mine. If you send me your email, I can help you with a...

obeejr,
I don't have a manual set so have to take your word for it but my 79 F32 does not place the starting batteries in parallel unless the toggle switch is thrown. However, I don;t know what mods where made to the boat over the years with the last owner. Thanks for the information.

Its an old thread but I believe the black box you spoke of is the emergency start relay box. Mine was poorly mounted between the batteries between the engines and the fuel/water separators. I have a switch on the lower helm which engages a relay in the box to connect the starboard and port batteries...

Need Info on Onan 6.5KW Gen

Just purchased a 79 F32 with an Onan 6.5KW generator. Generator is low on oil and need to know recommended weight and viscosity of the oil. Can anyone provide the recommended oil type?

Thanks
