A smaller bilge in the bow would de-water the bow but by then the keel would still be almost full, so you would need another one in the keel. Ok First of all I have a 1979 f-32. I had the water in the forward bilge. batter switches

Ther are two power switches just below the lower helm station. One for starbord and one for port. If these were turned off there will be no power to the ignition. These are separate from the battery selector switch located near your battery bank in the bilge.
