12 Meter EXpress Stereo Wiring

Post by tcollins2 »

I found this on the site for a 12M Convertible (EL L SEA)
This is how the boat was numbered originally. The changes in number happen in between the toggle, volume knob, etc.

Master Left
K1>K15>K25
Master Right
K2>K16>K26

Crew Left
K3>K19
Crew Right
K4>K18

Salon Left
K5>K19
Salon Right
K6>K20

Stereo is not working this year, it all worked last year. 7 Wires in the harness, D35 which I'm certain is the low voltage from the panel.
Then there is K3, K4, K5 and K6 which I'm almost certain are feeds to the 4 known speakers, two over the dinette and two in the arch.
What are K25 and K26 for if there are only 4 speakers? Also, they are wired into a A/D/S Power Plate PH15.2 amplifier.
I brought in a spare tuner and verified that the 4 speakers work without going through the amp, so I'm guessing the amp is shot.
The amp is a 6 channel, but only 4 speakers. Why would the extra two wires go in the amp if there are no speakers?

There is an aftermarket JBL subwoofer that is under the captains chair that has it's own amp and it's fed with RCA cables and a remote wire so I don't think the K25 and K26 wires go there.
Thoughts?

Any thoughts on the Simrad Sonic Hub 2 connecting it to my GO9?

Ok, figured it out.
There are some really old looking volume controls that are apparently still working.
One of my kids may have turned them to 0.
I'm removing them, any one need one of these...Bob?
The amp is dead, since I got all working minus the amp.

Bought the SonicHub2 so we'll see how that goes. Need to snake a wire from helm to stereo area by bunk beds.
Can't find a NMEA 2K starter kit on Long Island. I guess I'll go to Amazon and fund Bezo's next rocket trip.

All those parts came originally from Radio Shack.
