Lets face it. These are old boats and a Broker engaged by the family to sell Aaron's Enterprise will afix a price according to vintage - despite the many advantages that particular, timeless hull has to offer. I still miss the handling characteristics of my former tricabin when I'm backing my current Trojan 370 Express by Carver into her current slip.

I recently read Aaron passed away. To me he was Bernie (before he changed his name).....We were in high school together, in band, the rifle corp. Back then he had a full curly top of hair...a flair for life....and an excitement for music. i am sorrry to see that he passed away. I knew his mom even. After graduation i never knew what he ever did or became. Sounds like a lot of people liked him....same big heart. Blessings Bernie.....may the winds be always at your back.

I happened upon this site and these heartwarming comments about my brother Aaron. It has taken me these 18 months to process Aaron's passing. We were only a year apart in age. I am so genuinely appreciative of the wonderful forum Aaron found with other Trojan boat owners, especially Tri-Cabin owners! He would tell me about this Forum and there was no denying his excitement in being about to share mutual Trojan boat owner's stories. To say he loved his boat is an understatement. He always talked about owning a Tri-Cabin like the one we had when we had growing up. He knew so much and was so willing to share his passion and knowledge with anyone who asked. That was Aaron. I'm so glad he left such a great legacy with other Trojan owners. He fought a good fight. The only silver lining I find is he is no longer in pain an suffering. There is no doubt in my mind he is watching over all of us. Thank you for keeping Aaron's legacy alive on this forum.

As far as the broker goes....you all are boat owners. You understand the tremendous costs involved in boat ownership. No one in the family was in a position to deal with it nor winterize it if it didn't sell. It broke my heart to basically give it away, but we really didn't have another option.

We(I anyway) get that last part. Boats are a financial and time commitment that are not right for everyone. Every time I walk out the main pier, I see the Enterprise's empty slip. Its a big as the hole in my heart.

Thank you. If we had another alternative it would have been great! The closest water to me is Smith Mountain Lake. Not exactly a haven for tri-cabins! I left the sale to those who knew more about boats than I. I can imagine how it is to see the empty slip. Thank you for facilitating this thread. It's nice to know he was well thought of!

I recently came across this post and felt the need to introduce myself to you all. My name is MaryAnn. My husband, Chuck, purchased Aaron’s boat “The Enterprise” as an anniversary present. From the moment I boarded her, I could feel the love that Aaron had for her. It also showed. He took great care of her and he was meticulous in doing so. We have been enjoying our new adventures with her and love being on her. Aaron continues to be with us. Every time we venture out, I return and open a hatch or drawer and still find notes from Aaron or a checklist of what needs to be done, fixed or checked on. We are currently getting prepared to restore her outer beauty to match the beautiful interior that Aaron did. We want to keep the memory of Aaron, his love of the Tri and “The Enterprise” alive for many more years and adventures. We have been blessed to find her. I hope that I can turn to you, his fellow friends, for any advice or problem solutions that I may have with her.
