Philadelphia Boat Show
I went to the Philadelphia Boat Show yesterday. I was very disappointed. 95% of the boats were either center consoles or bow riders. There were no cuddy cabins in the entire show. Jeanneau, Cutwater, and Ranger Tugs were there with cabin boats. The Jeanneau 895 (29 feet) was very nice, but my wife says we can't afford the $190,000 price tag.
Both the 28 foot Cutwater and 27 foot Ranger Tug felt very small and cramped. Other than those three there weren't any boats we were really interested in. It certainly seems like the new boat market is hurting bad. 20 years ago when we were looking for our 24 foot cuddy cabin the Philadelphia Boat Show was huge with pretty much any boat you could think of. That wasn't the case this year.
