Thank.... lol..... I was thinking. Can I make 1 centralized terminal point for all the battery cables? Just to make things neater. Or having the lines come back to the batteries are better?prowlersfish wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 9:01 pm Well you will be busy for a while , hope they all go well

Re: Winter project list
Winter Project List (under shrink wrap)
Remove old plexiglass front cabin window
Reinforce front deck when window is out
Replace front cabin window with 1/8 inch Lexan EXELL D
Spring Project List (after shrink wrap is removed)
Install portable air conditioner (wife's Christmas present)
Replace water pump impellers
Replace Battery 1
Paint bottom
We looked at newer/bigger boats, but the more we looked the more we appreciated what we already have. We'll be sticking with this boat for another 5 years (probably

Nice short list.. lol... I am already adding to mine. Starter solenoid went on starboard engine. And flat spot on port. So I will have both alternators and starts checked out.The Dog House wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 6:17 pm Winter Project List (under shrink wrap)

Re: Winter project list
The first three years I had my boat my list was as long (or longer) than yours. Now it's mostly normal maintenance, although the front cabin window cracking kind of took me by surprise. The wife wants air conditioning, so installing a small, portable air conditioner should buy me a few more years before I have to buy another boat. Boat ownership, it keeps life interesting!

Re: Winter project list
I keep a to-do list on my phone, and have a separate list for the boat. I just counted 92 items open on the list, ranging from easy to major. There are at least as many completed over the last few years.

Re: Winter project list
I have both the Trojan and Trojan by Carver. I'm keeping the F-32 because a wise man once said "Life is to short for an ugly boat"

Re: Winter project list
Is the "portable" a/c one you set on the deck and run the exhaust hose out a window or is it something more permanent like a window unit or ??? Interested since I would like to AC the helm area on our boat. Thinking an RV unit on the roof. 10 meter express with arch removed etc. Picture attached.

Re: Winter project list
The portable AC unit we bought will sit under our dinette table with a hose exhausting out the side window. Most of the portable AC units are too tall to fit conveniently in our boat but this unit is short enough to fit.
