Cappy's f32 rehab

I started the rehab on my f32 the last week. Here is the list of what i have done so far.

Removed and had all groco valves repaired.
Had both carberators rebuilt.
New plugs and wires for both engines.
80% done ripping up the stern deck. Pictures to follow in next post.
Figured out how im going to wire my new battery configuration.

Looking good Captrichc. I see you have a helper lucky you... Your framing is different than mine. Looks like you can deck right over the framing or is there hidden rot?

So far no hidden rot anywhere. But i am going to let it air out a few days b4 i start covering anything back up.

Here are some new pictures. Finished removing all of the decking. And put quick disconnects on my fresh water preasure pump as well as my salt water wash down. Also removed 2 of the cross braces that really were only held in with 2 screws. I will re-add them when i extend the hatch.
Going to deck with 1/2 inch red oak plywood.

Your framing is definitely different than mine. Maybe it was redone a while back Or maybe in 74 that's what they did. Is it white oak framing? That's what mine is framed with. It's a common framing material in boat construction both wood and fiberglass. One thing I'm wondering is your framing looks taller than mine. My framing is 4" tall. The reason I'm bringing it up is when I checked the space between the water tank and underside of the framing mine is 21" at the tightest spot. My tanks are exactly 20" diameter so I could slide them out in the future. I'm wondering if you have the clearance because of the taller framing to get your tanks out even with the larger hatch. Just a friendly observation. I'll say one thing your farther ahead than me and I've been working on mine since the middle of October. Keep up the good work

I believe mine are 2x6 to be honest. Not sure if its the original or not. I want to believe it was. By eye the tanks look like they are going to fit above my water tank when i move my water preasure and wash down pump. I will have to double check now how tall my tanks are.

Removed 1 tank that was empty. And the other tank that was supposed to be empty have 35g of fuel in it. ... you can say there was just a bit of cursing involved. 2nd tank will be out tomorrow and then i will paint the whole back half before installing the new tanks.

Both tanks are out if the boat. Now i need to get the new tanks in there and order hose. Also i need to find a barb to flare fittings for the crossover for the new fuel lines. Any links out there with your experiences?

Pretty certain your rear deck had been replaced before. The white oak was the Trojan standard. With the 2x6 bracing, your rear deck should be super strong.
