You need to move further north into Southern Georgian Bay. There are several boating out of Penetang and Midland. We have 3 F32's in our marina and 3 F36's I believe. A little Trojan enclave up here. Still outnumbered by the Sea Rays & Regals but who cares.
Do you trailer yours? If so come on up for a weekend and I'll show you the sights. Some like this:

We splash on the 6th and then it is out to those spots on the w/e's. :D

Georgian Bay is a great place for boating. My wife and I have spent some time on the water in a small portion of the 30,000 Islands. We trailered our Doral to Honey Harbour where we launched it, headed across to Beausolei Island where we set up camp, then spent our days boating thru the islands.

I sure would like to do this trip again with the Trojan.

We get wet this Saturday the 1st.
Michael, those two pics you show, where is the first one? The one with the three of you tied up. When you look at pictures of the area, they all look the same, and they all look different.

First one is Sandy Bay just north of Byng Inlet. The second is much closer to home... we call it Wildberry Bay as that was the cocktail we had after finding it the first time. It is not named on the chart but is off to port and along a bit as one goes up towards Spider Bay and then turn to port to go over to the South channel to Parry Sound.
I'll put up some jpg's from my charts if you wish so you can see the lat long etc:
Sandy Bay

Wildberry which is Hillis bay according to this years charts.

TC do you get up North of O'Donnell point on weekends much? That is where we start from each weekend and head north mostly. Once or twice I head down to Go Home Bay area.[/img]

Michael:
Most of our 2 day weekends we go to Go Home and Monument, they are about a little over a hour's run. Three day weekends we do Massasauga Park and tuck ourselves back in. We like to get to Parry Sound generally twice a summer. Last two years we went for a week to Britt.
I don't have time right now to dig into charts ( 1 inch till bed time ) but if could give me those sites that would be great.
Last summer we were in Parry Sound twice, Canada Day and last week in July. One of those visits a couple walked over to our boat and started to chat. My wife remembers they mentioned they were from 12 Mile area. They came over because of a common interest. They had a Trojan. We did not see the name on their boat. I wonder if.

Tom, Chance is good we were there both those times. That sounds like us we rarely miss a chance to visit other Trojan's as we have been getting ideas for remodelling ours. (Taken the aft rails down this winter for more seating.)
We were there on Canada Day for the fireworks (boat parade really :) ) and in July we were on our way up to North Channel but had to drop back to the Bad River as we had to delay a couple of days for my wife to go back to TO for work. Short beard ring a visual bell?

I got the Sandy Bay anchorage chart in my prior post but for some reason Wildberry did not display, I'll try again.

Ah, I think I see why it didn't work before.
We spend most weekends in and around the Massassauga. Three friends from Queen's Cove are moving their boats up to our marina this year as they also like the Mass, they finally made the switch after my encouraging them to save the water travel time for 30 mins more in the car.
We seem to go to the same areas maybe we can run into each other again this year... we are planning on going to the North channel last week July & first week of Aug this year. Did not make it last year as we were delayed a couple of times going north so only made it to the Bad.
Do you have DSC on your VHF? If so does your radio have DSC locating ability... if so we should swap MMSI numbers and we can see if we are ever closeby.

Speaking with my wife tonight she remembers two situations as we looked at two F32's on one of those trips: One's wife had a broken tooth and she was working on driving down together which did not happen(July). The other boat had to have blackouts for the V berth hatch as it had been changed to smoke from the opaque white and let too much light in at night for the owner. Do you fit either?
We remember one being very sharply decorated inside with a freezer replacing the drawers under the aft dinette bench which interested us....still does, so if that is you we will make it down to Go Home one weekend to steal design details.
Let me know if I am he!

No modified freezer here, nor any broken teeth. I did make a cover for the forward latch 'cause that opaque gathers up any and all light at pre dawn and seems to channel it right inside. You wake up at 4:45am and forget about going back to sleep, it's like the bedroom light is on. That sounds like us.

This year the plan is to take a week and run the Trent Canal to Bobcageon for the Canada Day week. We haven't done that for several years now. Another couple are going with their boat, they have not been on the canals yet. Second week, which is last week of July, we'll go to Massasauga, food at Henry's, and into Parry Sound. Not going too far, but plans sometimes change, like the weather. We can be tricked.

I just got my MMSI number this past February and plan to enter it in the radio after the boat gets in the water. Another item on the " TO DO " list.
