The brochure I have does't comment on an F31, and is probably from late 70's, but your F31 looks a lot like an F30, which has a beam of about 11' or 11'1" (for the Express or Sport).
I also have specs from 1969, and at that point a 31 Express (woodie) had a beam of 11'2".
F32's have a 13' beam. The F32 is known as an "exceptionally beamy boat for it length", as an example Trojan's 36' boats were all 13' beam as well. You have to go up to the 42 or 44 or beyond to find a beamier boat in the line (14'11" for the 44's).

I have specs for the F30 at 12' 3"
Not sure about the F31...

If you like the 31, you'll love the 32. Good luck in your search.

The F36 also tapers back at the transome but not as much the wideist point is right near the windsheald. My F30 tappered back a lot .
