The Cummins 903s are older V8 models, but good engines. 300-450HP depending on injectors/pumps. Engine survey (and transmission - they send the oils off on both for analysis) will tell.

IF you bid - avoid Ebay. The seller will have to raise his cost to cover the huge Ebay fees.

Wish I had this 44 ... looks beautiful - and solid boat for a 120 mile round trip offshore fishing.

Ebay has a flat fee for ebay motors. Costs $20-35 to list and $125 when it sells. I would definitely not consider this a "huge" cost.

Really - thats not bad.

We quit using Ebay for retail sales, as the fees were worse than the credit card fees, and applied whether we sold or not. We paid $65 Ebay just to list ...

But $20-30 to list is cheap by comparison ... for a much more expensive item. Oh well ...

as an FYI, I did put a bid in, although it was certainly a low one, didn't really expect to get it at the price I put in, but can't win if you don't play. [Bid declined]

If you win, stop by on the way past Charleston for a roasted oyster and a cold beer!

That's the same boat that was for sale only a year or two ago and we discussed it on this site. The boat was used as a charter boat in Ft. Lauderdale for about 10 years and was sold for $75k. I actually spoke to the seller to indicate an interest and he said he had just taken a deposit.

When I asked about the engines, a friend of mine referred to them as an "anchor." I don't know what that means but they seem very heavy for the hp and are probably prone to last a long time with proper maintenence. The previous owner showed all stainless steel exhaust he had installed. These are rare and pretty damned cool!

That is generally not a positive term... means best use for them is to throw them overboard with a rope attached.
