I have BoatUS gold coverage and hope to never have to use it either. I had to be towed once with my last boat about 9 years ago and fortunately one of the boaters from my marina heard my call on the radio and towed me in. Towing costs are outlandish without a towing service coverage plan.

Along those lines, I towed three other people into our marina over the years to help them as someone had once helped me.

Seatow don't leave home without it. Used it this year the bill would've been $600.00 for 7 a mile tow. Replaced the coils and both were the wrong. parts. And they burned up.and of corse I didn't have the old weak ones on the boat.

We have tow boat US and we have used it. We broke a cable the other day and could not get into our slip with the wind being as strong as it was.
They helped us get the boat in the slip and since then we have repaced the forward and reverse cable on both engines.

I've grabbed one of the marina's boats & towed in a few people. Also have met a few of our boats at the locks & other marinas & done repairs. When I need a tow help is close by.

Thats fine if you stay close by and your frends are near by. But what if they are not around ? What if your 50 or a 100 or more miles away ?

Sea tow , have used it for 6 years now, 6 years of fee's come to about 700 bucks and Im not happy to say Ive been towed at least 5 times in the 6 years Ive used them, (thats also including other boats Ive been on, dosent matter if its not your boat, as long as your on it) and those towing charges would have been in the thousands,,

I highly rec them, there great
