Skippy glad to have you as a new member. I have many wonderful memories of wood hull boats, which I think is still the best ride in the water. We lived on ours for 2 years when my son was 3,he is now 28. I have steamed and bent boards and there are some web sites to assist you in building a home made steam box if you want to go that far. One of my memories was hireing a young man of 17, I was 32 at the time, he was the son of a friend of a friend, to help me sand the hull, string caulk it as well as the usual caulking. A few weeks after the job was done and the boat was back in the water and of course I was pretty proud of myself, I asked the friend how the 17 year old was doing and how he liked the boat job,he said it was a good time but that old guy, me the 32 year old, almost killed him with all that work,I guess at 17 anybody over 20 is old.

Welcome aboard to our newest member! Lots of great advice and experience here on all things Trojan, regardless of the year, model, construction or materials. After all I drank and ate over the holidays, I'll take a Pepto neat with a chaser of Alka Selzer.....
