Hi Curtis,

Take a look a couple pages back at a post entitled "I Am Moving" and you'll see some photos of my 26.

Hi Paul: Yes, my boat looks more like yours. The photos were very impressive and you had done an excellant job with the boat. did you buy it in this condition or do the work yourself? What was the process like to add the generator? Mine have shore power only now.

The boat was in the water and running when we bought it but the power train had issues and the interior was kind of dated. We stripped the entire boat down to the stringers and did a complete restoration, update, upgrade, repower scraped knuckles, bruises, empty wallet, holly s##t  . But ultimately are very happy with the results. :D We bought in the fall of 2000 and had it stripped by December. It was repowered and back in the water by the following August with just the basics so that we could use it to finish off the first season. The rest of the essential work was done the following winter. Since then I've done some kind of project to it annually to get it to what it is today.

Hi Paul: That's very cool. Good job! How did you squeeze the generator in? Shoe horn?

Had to make a new fuel tank to make room for the generator and yes its a tight fit, sore shoulder, scraped knuckles pinched fingers.

Foofer,

Both myself and the boat developed a stern squat installing the generator. For me, some back exersizes took care of it but as for the boat I had to re-locate the boot stripe. Funny thing though, the extra weight in the back of the boat makes it handle better in a following sea.
