Yeap got to watch the poly tanks., a few boat makers went to them and it didn't work out so well. Think on it poo hoses and tanks have to be changed out due to smell. And the last thing I would want is gas and fumes in my boat. Imo

Paul,
can you smell diesel through the poly tanks? I have been considering poly tanks when I repower, however, if you can smell diesel through them, then no thanks.
I kind of thought they would be good because they're translucent, so I could see the fuel level, they wont corrode and they should be quiet.
Your experience would be appreciated

I don't know on the diesel part. The EPA is now setting specs on small Polly tanks , the tanks now have to be thicker or made differently to allow less fumes to escape. Not sure if any changes will happen on larger tanks . From what I have seen poly tanks do ok for awhile then after a few years you get some smell . they say its safe but to me smell = fumes
no thanks
no thanks
