F 36 lifting question
Hello all F36 owners...
My boat does not have sling labels...where do you guys locate the front sling.
I know the back sling will run along the aft engine room bulkhead...not sure about the forward sling...no beam width bulkheads forward of the forward engine room bulkhead.
Please provide me with a measurement from a cleat or something...a photo would be great.
Thanks,
SRD

I may add on the rear sling you have to watch the spray rail as the sling can put a lot of pressure on it a fender put below it seems to help . Not sure how your lifting but I assume a crane ? I trust you will be using a spreader ? ( if thats the right name) as you don't want to put a lot of presser on the sides ( and why you what to be at the rear bulk head) . Forgive me if I tell you something you know . As I believe you know lifting with cranes very well .

As Paul said you should have little or no pressure on the rubrail or hull sides of Trojan's. So no need to beef up.... there should be little side pressure on that location.Struts and Rudders wrote:Actually I am re working the rub rail and wanted to beef up the area where we intend to lift in the future.
The straps should be under the hull and away from the rest of the boat.
One needs to make sure that the travel lift/crane straps move away from the boat after passing the hull bottom edge!
