F36 engine/trans/prop combos

Post by rossjo »

Helping Larry (PlanSea) with his boat. We'd love to know what other people engine/trans/prop combos are for comparison.

Larry has 400 Chryslers with 1.9:1 and 20x20 props - not running over 3,500 RPM @ WOT with clean bottom & engines tuned.

anyone?

One buddy is running 20x21, Ford 460's and the other is running 20x19, Chrysler 440's. Both in the F36.

Hey Ross and all. All the above post are for much more powerul engines than mine(280 HP) Looks like we are on the right track. Cruised the harbor last night, ran great but never tried to get above 1800 rpm. Thanx all. Larry
