F32 forward deck

Post by fpawn1 »

Just had my 1981 f32 surveyed for my insurance company. The only issue that was mentioned was the area on deck around the cleats. I checked the area and does not feel soft . Surveyor mentioned that there is some softness and could weaken the holding of cleats. Has anybody have the same problem? What am I looking at for repair? Was glad to hear basically all is well---thank goodness!!!

Mine has a couple of soft spots, not too bad though, seen worse.

Willie Trojan has redone his foredeck and I'm sure he'll chime in soon.

Remove the cleats in you find some rot / softness you can repair it with get rot and rebed the cleats and use a large backing , the should delay major work for a while and should make the insurance company happy (take photos of work to show them )
