Zinc Placement

Post by Lawman »

Hey guys need your input. I'm putting new shaft zincs on. My question is I presently only have one on each shaft approximately 6" from the strut. Observing small pits starting in port side shaft I was thinking about adding one more zinc another 6" up the shaft, but this would put the zinc about 2" below the hull. Would this create cavitation or an unbalanced shaft(s)? and would it give me extra protection???
