Rendevous @ Rock Hall

Post by Allen Sr »

My wife and I just got back home from the rendevous in Rock Hall. It was great, met some fantastic people there and learned a few tips that I am definately going to try. A very special thank you to Wes and Peg for their hospitality while we were there. I know Wes will make me pay for it in Solomons!   A very big thank you to Mike and Cathy Kulp for there hospitality also. We walked down to your boat to try to say see ya later but no answer. Guess you young people were sleeping? Cant wait til the next one!! And a very special thank you to John Leeds for taking the time to drive down and meet with everyone.

Sorry we missed you before you left Allen :( , the heat was starting to get to Cathy and me. I am sorry I did not get a chance to show you my engine room, we will have to do that another time. I do have one complaint about the rendevous, did we have to do it the hottest day of the year  We did have a great time with everybody, but it would have been nice to sit around outside and talk to everybody instead of hide in the air conditioning. I would like to thank John Leeds for coming down to see us, it was fun to listen as he told story's of how they designed and tested the boats. It was fun to check out all the other Trojan boats and see what there owners are doing to them. Trojans seem to hold up well with age. Hope Wes and Peg had a good trip to the Solomons. Hope to see everybody at the next rendevous. [/img]

It was a true pleasure meeting everyone as this was our first get together.I can say my wife now has the boat bug after seeing the others and listening to stories about trips taken. I think I lost 10lbs. from the heat but thankful the a/c ran all weekend. Started thinking about how to add a/c outlet at the helm (new project). Also FYI boat ran cooler on the trip home after removing pencil zinc from "U" cooler and backflushing.
