New member first post Rear deck

I am thinking about purchasing a 1973 30' Trojan however the rear deck is REALLY soft. I live in Port Saint Lucie Florida and the Nida-Core factory is here. I was wondering if that was a good option for a redecking project. I love the look of wood but want a low maintenance solution. I love the boat and would love some feedback on the deck and overall if you guys think it is a good boat to get involved with. I want a pleasure cruiser but love the look of a fishing boat and love the classic styling. Sorry for the ramble.

My deck was replaced with wood then coated with no-skid.

I pretty much have my heart set on not using wood. I am thinking that this boat will be one that I keep for a long time and so I would like it to be as much of a long term fix as possible.

wowzer I have been thinking about just doing what you did as I would like to keep costs down so I can do some other projects. What kind of wood did you use? Did you do the work yourself or did you have it done? If you had it done what did it cost?

c twin, marine plywood and treated lumber. simple project. If it doesn't outlast me it's easy to replace. I had help but really didn't need it. If you look around below decks you'll see where to attach.

Nice looking Boat You have a F30 clean Machine , That has been customized , the read decks are not what the boat came with . some were teak and some where glass . If it was my boat I would use glass over plywood .

The boat also came with front windows . yours have been glassed over I believe as this is the only F30 clean Machine I haver seenwith out them .
