Gauge Upgrade

Post by Lawman »

Thinking about upgrading gauges during the long winter lay-up. Does anyone know of any good gauges that would be compatable to the originals ??

I am thinking about upgrading and switching to all-digital gauges. I found some that re-use the same sending units. If interested I will send you a link.

I swapped mine out and replaced with Teleflex Red International a few years back.

gauges

Post by TADTOOMUCH »

I replaced mine with Teleflex Heavy Duty series from Boatersland.com as they had the best prices and the gauges look close to the original AC and Datcon gauges. Tachs were 60.00 each and other gauges were 22.00 each. All were analog gauges

guages with light

Post by TADTOOMUCH »

Yes the gauges were all made with the hole for the light bulb and it was a simple plug and play. Just disconnect the old wires clean the connector and attach to new gauge. Bulb just pulls out of old gauge and replace with new bulb included with the new gauge and use the same socket and push it into the hole in the back of the new gauge. Easy.

Awesome. Thank you and thanks to all who gave your response. The 38 year old ones only work when they fell like it, I think it's time for an upgrade.
