F25 / 26 tranny sound or bearing?

I just recently posted a sound I hear when tranny in engaged in forward only...more of a skweek / tiny grind. At higer rmp it comes and goes and feels like cavitation a bit, but comes and goes. Inboards are newer to me, but want to make sure im ok. It's a 225 merc with velvet. Any suggestions, could this be a bearing I appreciate any help...Thanks

Sure it's not an alignment issue and the shaft gland nut isn't rubbing on the shaft?
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.
