Has anyone replaced original side mount seats on F25?

Post by bkwesq »

My side mounts are ripping out of the side. I could repair but I just don't like the seats with the bottom stand and side mount. Has anyone here ever gone to the floor mounted pedestal seats?

Thanks in advance

I also am waiting on others experience on this. I also think the side seats were made for people who are 7 feet tall.

Mine has Todd pedestal seats. A disadvantage to them is that they do not stow away like the side mount.

Foofer
did you have to do any additional re-inforcing of the floor, or did you just drill and bolt through the decking?

Whatever you end up doing, make sure you can slide or move the seat out of the way for times when conditions are snotty enough that you want be standing behind the wheel (and not sitting).

I did too....take a peek at my album pics.

I did the neumatic pedestals....able to put them up and down and turn 360 degrees.

Currently have a nice new helm chair like Foofer's...just have to take pics and add them to the album.

They work great.

Do you allow the girl to come on the boat or do you require her to remain in the dinghy? :D
