What A Mess

Well, Seascape is finely in the water, a few minor problems and one major one. The fresh water intake is weeping a little around the nut. I will be keeping an eye on that, if it doesnâ€™t stop I will hall her out and replace the whole unit. The prop shaft is dripping around thirty or so drops at rest per min, I am letting that go for now to see if it slows down. Motor started up with the turn of the key and ran smooth (that is because it had fuel) However, the pressure regulator developed a drip on the intake side. This really pissed me off.

, I pride my-self in knowing what it is that I am doing, (most of the time) this plumbing job I did for the fuel line is impeccable However, I have a drip. SAFARI on the forum said that he had a drip from the same fuel pump system, so When I put her in the water I left the hatch open to watch, sure enough, there was a drip. Good Thing I didnâ€™t have far to maneuver to put her in the slip. I thank you Safari for planting the seed

Oh Yeah, had the Coast Guard inspection on Saturday, passed with flying colors and they made no recommendation other than ( at a boy)

Well, the drip from the prop shaft has slowed to a drip every now and then at rest and more when under way. The weeping from around the fresh water intake is gone and dry.
I had to remove the pressure regulator and turn the connection on the output side, another Two turns. I did not tighten it enough to make a good seat.

I had to use two large pipe wrenches to make this two turns, one would think the housing would break.. Another dumb thing I did was to mount the pump on the support stringer for the deck, all you hear is the buzz from the pump,

I will be mounting that in rubber soon.
The engin is running smooth with this new pump, I think it is going to work out just fine.

Well Prowlersfisf, I am sure that the person that machined the thread in the pressure regulator, or programed the machine, plunged the tap to the proper depth, so that when I or anyone else applied the matting connector, it would get the seal to a NPT standard.
I have many employees that work for my company, I am the owner manufacturer of Contain A Pet. I purchase hundreds of thousand of parts and components. I have to staff people to do incoming inspection on everything that comes in the door. This I have to do because of the shottie workmanship and off spec parts. Now whom do you blame, the company or the people that make the parts and components. I have very good people that work for me and would do anything for me. As I am sure that it is the same for the majority. However, the useless individual whom works for Holley, that machined the pressure regulator could have killed someone, period, enough said.

Rick , sure there are bad American workers but there are many more good ones . just like there are everywhere make be the proplem with some bad workmenship its the greeding owners ask asking the work to make as many parts as possble in as short as thime possable. then to cheap to hire a good Q.C. person ( or team ) to check the work .

I have pride in my work always have always will and I am a American worker and proud of it !

but no worker is perfect .

Rick , I would let Holley know about this so the can see where the proplem is btw did the part say made in USA or was it from elsewere ?
Rember it was the Americanworker that built our trojans !

Rick one of the funest things I have ever seen involed you product (or one like it ) a frend had just gotten the system and and the dog got out without the collar . well he went after the dog and he had the collar with him well you can guess what happed . I hate to see a grown man cry (and Cuss )

Prowlersfish, I could not agree with you more. A majority of the problems is with the greedy companyâ€™s pushing the work out of the employees causing some bad workmanship . Like you ,I am very proud of my work and would sign my name to what ever it is that I do.

Oh you know me, I get on my soap box and run my mouth, donâ€™t know enough to be quite some times, and can be abrasive. I can assure you that I always mean well. Lets just say this I was very abrasive and blunt with Holley, I am sure that they would not like me to give them a testimonial LOL..I think if the unit was made offshore, it has to be marked that way, no it was not marked (made in us)

If you think that is funny what your friend did, you should come here and watch me for a day. Whenever a collar doesnâ€™t work I get them to test and see if we are having a trend or simply a component went bad. I hate these stupid things. I have stomped on them, thrown them in the trash, cuss at them , boy do I cuss at them. I have been zapped so many times my hear should be twisted into a knot and every one sets back and laugh at me. The thing is that I know better but keep doing it.

I believe that the Trojan is the best boat ever made ,it has warmth, creature, and is alive, unlike the piles of fiberglass they make today.
