ive never been known to sleep much, so before I go to bed i would like all of you that have helped me to know, that I really appreciate it. I have this personal deffect that requires me to go to meetings with other people everyday, and keep myself busy. coming home to see an anchor next to my trash can, or getting an email saying someone will fly down to help teach me to drive my boat does amazing things for me. these are things that are hard to pay back and i'm all about paying it forward. anyway if you dont get what im saying. im saying I am greatful for all of your help, EVERYONE. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. You guys were right. I cant rebuild this boat with out you. Special thanks to Doug, good people are hard to find and sometimes people just fall into aa good hole when they need to. anyway, thanks

tony i could not have said it better. jeff, bring your lady back to life and always treat her like a lady and she will ALWAYS bring you home. stick with it, god knows it can be frustrating at times and she will always let you know she comes first. i think that's why they are called 'SHE'. many folk on here have been in your situation(s). no one is perfect and drama is everywhere. your vessel is your fortress of solitude. even before she is put together, like i said earlier, i fly for free (space available though), so getting on a flight to ORF is no biggie.... if you need a helping hand w/ some projects this spring/summer, i'm happy to help as long as my schedule allows.

Saw you pics from yesterday Jeff. Looks like you got a good start on getting things down to bare so you can see what restoration work you are going to have to do. Way to go man. The first step in any quality resto is getting to the root of the problem, which is something that you must already know based on the type of work you do.

Looking forward to seeing more progress as the days and weeks go by. Are you working on her today also?

Just remember, when the going gets tough, take a step back relax for a few and then get back at it.

Keep your stick on the ice.

Man? Wife said no boat today, to cold to bleach water down anyway, we got a light snow and it 32 today so she has me on my other project. Was gonna start another post here soon just for shooting the sheet on a cold and show y'all some pic's. Doing a major bedroom, bathroom, closet remodel, I started last winter. Think you guys will like it. I'm way over budget but wife's not complaining considering what I've been doing is gear towards pampering a female lol

Jeff, my name is Michael.

Its kinda chilly here today too. It was 6 when I woke up and its managed to get to 14 now. It was windy and rough on the lake last night and the trees along my shoreline are covered in thick ice today, so I'm not working or playing outside today either. I'll probably just stay in and play with the puppy and make some food for later. Maybe I'll post a pic of the icy trees out front so you all can see how nasty it gets here sometimes.

60 days until I can pick up the Trojan from today assuming the weather cooperates, so trying to keep busy until then. I have a couple Mercedes projects going to help pass the time.

Have you given any more thought to paint for your hull?

Lake pics with ice are awalys cool. Yes I'm deff going black. 4 guys and I from work are going to tackle the light repair and block and prime and re lock and prime and re lock and prime again so it should go fast, just need warm air. I'm doing the boat name in car paint so I can do airbrush work and clear over it, I have access to alexseal now so I'm going to spend the $ and see how I like it on test panels, I'm not a fan of any single stage component since I know what kind of look I can get from clear coat fess ding and clearing again for show quality. It's a lot of boat but....... We will see, I may have a gallon of black alexseal to share when it's over lol. With paint and prime for now it's all about weather temps so those pics won't be out for a while. Enjoy ur day, wifey is working me like a horse

My prediction is that you will get the Alexseal going and will be amazed at the results you can get from a single stage product. Its really some amazing stuff. I've seen it where it was applied and gave a mirror like finish, and thats without any clear on it. They do have a urethane clear you can apply to the topcoat too if you want. Just a little added protection in case you decide to let the fellas smash the bottle of crown on her, or if Aarons docking lessons leave something to be desired. (He does like ruining crab fishermans days apparently) ;)

I'm gonna go play with the 280 Benz. If I did my work right she will start up in this 15 degree weather no problem. While I'm out there I'll snap a couple pics of the icy trees for you to see. Its pretty cool looking today.
