10m Express - Horn Wiring ???

Post by Natchamp »

guys,

I'm confused and perplexed (yea what's new). I'm re-wiring my new dash setup and I have no horn action. I've never heard it work because the old switch was broken. According to the wiring diagram it's #36 and terminal 36 has no 12v coming to it.

Anyone know the basics? I'm assuming its a 12v horn? Is the switch on the dash suppose to close the 12v or ground side to complete the circuit? Is the #36 terminal (to the right of the breaker panel) suppose to have 12v and then the switch takes that 12v and distributes it to the horn? I see no breakers labeled horn so I can't even tell where the root feed is coming from. Please help.

I may be wrong, but I checked my horn first just by touching wires to a battery so I knew it worked first.

As I recall, there is a horn relay involved as well.

direct access to the horns is through the removable ceiling panel in the salon.

I also have wiring docs scanned if the previous are different tnan what you need.

How do I share PDF files with the forum. I thought I could use Photobucket but if I saved as a picture you can't view them as clearly.
