Fuel Gauge issues

Our metric system for 233 Merc's is not availiable:

Series : TwinScan GPH Meter (U.S.)
Scale : Metric
Gas Engine Make : MERCRUISER
Gas Engine Type : Inboard and I/O
Single or Twin : Twin
Fuel System : Carbureted & EFI/TBI
HP Rating : 201 - 350

I know that the gauge has power. I know that the float isn't sticking because I put a new fuel sending unit in. There is only 1 225 gal tank and its full

........anyways I have to get a spare gauge somewhere and try it. That would be my last ditch effort lol!!!

try one of these
do you have 12vdc at the guage? power is verified

have you measured the resistance across the sender to gnd? do you get any reading? rules out float

eliminate all the wiring and temporarily connect the guage at the tank. will eliminate wiring

try placing a resitor across the guage. value between 260 Ohms to and 20 Ohms. just pick a value. do you get a reading? will show guage is working or not
