How many Hours will you run your boat this year
Will you many putting hours on this year ? Just a poll for fun Hope I have a covered all the bases . If I left out a choice let me know .
I did a quick search on the net and found the average on one site was 50-75 and 60 on another and some on said 30 . E boat loans says 20-40 I am thinking 60 would be the average . ( use to think a 100 ) but lets see what us here do .

When I got my Hyrda-Sports back in 1999 I only have put 945 hours on her. Mostly the first 4 years after I bought it. As I get older and the costs go up I go out less and less. Now with the new Trojan project I go out even less. Can wait till The Trojan is ready to splash the Hydra-Sports might have to go bye bye. All though its a good easy boat to trailer to the keys. But hell we dont even go there as much as we used to.

With gas at $4 per gallon, our F26 will be more of a second home than a motor vehicle. I will probably exercise the engine, transmission, and V-drive every couple of weeks, but will probably only leave the dock a few times this summer. Most of our underway time will probably be in the 14' rowboat with the 9.9 hp outboard.

I checked 50 to 75 hours but after I crunched the numbers 30 gallons per hour 4 bucks a gallon 120 dollars an hour to run. I usually budget around $5000.00 for the season but it doesn't go as far. That used to get me around 100 hours for the season but now probably less than 50 this year. so like a lot of other boaters I will be doing short trips are staying at the dock.

I have averaged about 40 hrs a year since I bought the boat, and have owned her for 11 seasons. My best year : 65 hours. My worst (last year), a sickening 17 (including oil changes, and running engines at the dock while trying to diagnose charging system problems).
Mind you, I spent less than $600 on fuel last year, but still spent regular pricing on insurance, docking, and winterizing/storage. Last year it cost me almost $600 per hour of running.
Suddenly, I don't feel too good...

multi boat owner with the trojan still in many pieces and locations.
I have two more sources to draw from until the trojans ready soooo,
will def rack up to 200 hours this season with the hunter 23.5 and utilize the checkmate for times we need to get to the hot spot quicker then the sails will do. So this will be about 200 hours of river time and now that I own a project Trojan there will surely be another 200 hrs climbing in the yard gnome out back damn its gonna be a busy summer. example with the hunter it costs me less then $ . 95 to get back and forth to our hotspot and with the checkmate it takes about 4-5 gals for the same trip. I'm thinking the trojan at a rate I read in here 4-6 gal an hour? wont be terribly bad either
