Need your opinions!! What would you do?
I’m thinking of selling my dinghy since I rarely use it. She is in great shape and the motor starts on the first pull every time! Here’s why I’m considering it:
Lack of use
Rarely take long trips
My marina forbids leaving it in the water when I’m out of slip, which means I have to tilt it up on the swim platform and haul with me which adds weight
Dinghy interferes with fishing operations
Am I crazy for considering this??

1, use it more...
2, change your boatin' style , take longer trips...
3, Change marinas ...
4, get out riggers....

Don't want to derail this topic too far but just wanted to point out to Zdek that unless the SeaDoo has a tow package, it should under no circumstances be towed; very common to fill the engine with water.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

Really depends on your current and future boating habbits. I spend a lot of time on the hook so I wouldn't be caught without one for the simple fact that I like the option of climbing in and heading to a nearby port for supplies. It's also great for exploring, the guys up here in Georgian Bay will know exactly what I'm talking about. Not to mention that it is perhaps the best thing to have for the whole family heaven forbid the boat should sink while far from shore. I actually have to get another one, hopefully this year.

With the price of gas, most of my F26 time will be at the dock. Most of my underway time will be in my 14' Starcraft. 3 gallons goes a long way with the four stroke 9.9 hp outboard. Not so much with the F26. If it was me, I would keep it and use it more.

Big D, you are bang on. Here on Georgian Bay dinghy's are a must and are often the larger hard bottom center console w/50+HP. Gunkholing, supply run and, of course, the dog run ashore when at anchor. Options on how to bring it with you is another huge discussion.
