just put the f32 in on tues and started for a small cruse when the port 318 overheated so I shut her down and came back to the slip and it was a job getting in to on 1 engin and in high wind. so I started it later that day and it has good water coming out the back, ran it for 10min and only got to 180deg. they are both rebuilt but have sat for 2 years any advise on raw water cooling ??????

Impelled or obstruction in systems. Your thermostat might have been stuck is another possibility.

Only 180 ? thats way too hot for a raw water cooled engine .You should have a 140 to 145 thermostat in the engine. Make sure you have the right type and temp thermostat , the wrong type/stle can cause a over heat . make sure the hoses are installed corectly . Did the engine have any issues like this before the overhaul ? where the manifolds and risers replaced ? pumps ?

all new ,,,,, don't know anything about them prior to the rebuild where or who do I see for new parts Thanks for the replys

You may want to use a temp gun to see if it is really over heating . compare it to the other engine and your Gage

if this is not the prob change you impeller ( this is regular maintainence) also check your belts are tight and not missing you have two pumps on this engine next as above check/ change thermostat, when you change your impeller back flush the engine, are your seacocks fully open? without being alarmist blown head gasket can also do this but the above is first, if head gasket is suspect swap out your coolant lines for clear ones and look for bubbles no bubbles= a ok lots of bubbles= :(
