i went yesterday to VIP day. absolutely beautiful day. it was also my short term goal post treatment as it was exactly one month out. i enjoyed the day, but really frustrated at myself as i could not move like i normally do and it was difficult, more difficult actually than i thought, to navigate the docks, the steps down to certain exhibits, and getting on and off boats. i felt like a total invalid. i really did. and i had to stop and rest from time to time. not something i'm used to with my body. at the halfway point, i made my usual stop at pusser's for their signature burger and a mild painkiller (half shot at my request). day did not end well though, as i was in an auto accident on 95 north around 1645 and just 4 miles from home. it was the usual rush hour stop and go (mostly stop) and the guy in front of me stopped short as i was swapping from sunglasses to clear glasses, slammed on his breaks and WHAM!!! i'm okay, but my subaru's front end is not so well. i've never had something like that happen before and i'm totally bummed about it. can that really be fixed? ya know, 2012 has not been the best year for me.....

Aaron, glad to hear you made the most of the day. Also glad to hear that you weren't hurt in the accident.

i just have a very bruised ego jamie. i'm so bummed about it and not having the complete strength i normally have at the boat show. very disconcerting to say the least. i was winded, i was shaky, and i just felt not in tip top condition. i do have a guy here in the baltimore area that will take care of the forester once i get travellers to look at it. he's done body and paint work for me before and i trust him completely. it just sucks that in a micro second, WHAM. and i'm amazed at what under 5mph can do to a bumper and quarter panel.
