Gallons per hour is normal spec for boats.
Nearer 0.81 mpg at slow cruise in my experience....
Some specs from original Trojan docs:
Cruise 15-22 mph (2500 rpm - 3000 rpm)
Top speed 32.3 mph (4000 rpm)
2500 rpm ..... 15.6 gph equiv to .96 mpg
3000 rpm ..... 22.5 gph equiv to .98 mpg
4000 rpm ..... 40.5 gph equiv to .79 mpg

Engines will be counter rotating. Those are 12 bolt intake 2 piece rear main like mine. They're pretty decent in the F-32 despite the 305 Chev not being one of my favorite engines. I'll probably go to a set of 5.7's when and if I waer the old 305's out. Its not like I want to replace them, but with over 130 hrs last season its not like I am avoiding it either. It would be nice to get them up over 2000 hrs before I have to ditch them, but no knowing too much about thier service history may make that a pipe dream. They are at about 1640 now, and I know the last 650 hrs or so are well maintained hours, but before that is anyones guess.
I did jump on the one I have because it had GM's and not Chrys blocks though. I'm pretty sure my days of owning Chrysler blocks are over unless that Marlin I have been looking for comes along.
