I thought I would post a build thread documenting the work that I will be performing. I have alot of plans for this old girl, and its going to be long and slow Im sure

Here are some current pics, at the house and the madness begins!

some of the bastardized wiring that I have removed so far. belive it or not, that 50amp shore power cable was running from the distributors to a tach sync light on the bridge.

I really like the look of the boat without the flybridge. Anyone ever use an F32 as a hardtop?

Trojan did make a F32 Express withouot the bridge. Some Express models have salon doors and some do not. Now, that I have my boat DIALED IN, I'm thinking of moving up to one.

yeah it does look nice without the bridge. I would do it but I want the added room of the salon, but if I went with the hard top, I would not want to keep the sliding doors between the salon/cockpit.

purple power in a spray bottle to clean all the mildew off the v-berth walls and head liner

Used some the purple power again, full strength, and cleaned it out with an electric pressure washer. I will be doing this again too!



Once the bilge passes muster, the wife and I will start on scrubbing all of the woodwork.

The v-birth is half done. THis is a slow process due to the smell of the purple power soap.

All of the cleaning will be performed a number of times, until its looking new or deemed to be replaced.

If an F32 has salon doors, it's officially a Sedan. The Express and Sedan have different layouts. I think the flybridge was an option in both the Express and Sedan designs (and I think I have even seen an Express without the hard top - just canvas!), but the underlying hull and deck structure is the same in all configurations.

I have been really busy between the two jobs, and life. I though about selling her, even listed her, but I reconsidered. I had a little time this week to get some quality time with the old girl.

I pulled the V-berth and head doors, all of the dinette drawers, ect. wiped the wood down with Murphy oil soap, then started in on the sanding

some other steps that have been taken in the last few weeks-

I have measured for new fuel tanks, and I am sourcing some quotes now.
Decided that I am going to re-power, those old Chryslers are coming out.
found that I NEED a Fearson bit to remove ANY of what I thought was a Philips screw (thanks Rick!) I have ordered 10 of them
picked up an full hydraulic steering system
