I know what you are going through. Mine sat for 25+ years on the hard (actually mud and gravel). Previous owner took care of engine blocks/ carbs. and such, but needed much work (alts. pumps [water and fuel], old fuel etc). He kept upper wood work well as it sat there year after year ( but the hull bottom...rot, rot, rot.) There is always a ton of work, but great rewards. Good luck on your Trojan resurrection.

Ed "Doc" Harbour. Very thorough. Hopefully, we'll meet up tomorrow for the sea trial.

You said something about the rear fuel gages ticking ? Any chance there are hour meters near them ? hour meters will tick

Invictus (ex Proud Mary) has a new owner and I a new home. We had horrendous winds and seas for a few days. I technically did not have a sea trial, in the senae that I bought based on work done and previous sea trial efforts. Today, the guy acting as a captain on my behalf and I sailed her around the bay from Marina Shores to Bay Point. I'm very happy with my purchase. We had 3-5' seas in the bay and she handled fine. I'm definitely intimidated to take hwr out, but love her.

Wow, Holy Typos Android-Man! I'm very sorry for the quick horrible post.

This boat is friggin awesome in all senses. Yes, the money keeps pouring out of my wallet faster than I can bail water, but I'm already planning a couple new trips now that I hadn't thought of intitially.

Lots of coin out of pocket and I still need to do the basic things mentioned in my first post. The final "luxury" purchase I'm pondering is a windlass. She doesn't have one, I know that I'll have little in the way of underway help for most trips and I definitely want to spend some time in the bay. I was all set on the Lewar Pro 1000 until I read one reveiw on Amazon. Anyone have any direct experience? Any best competing models to consider?
