SS United States - 1000' Long & Cruised at over 40MPH

The SS United States was an amazing ship when she was built in 1952. Some of her speed records that were set over fifty years ago still stand today. Looks like there may be hope for saving the SS United States. Crystal Cruises just moved on an option to buy and will pay the $60K per month it costs to keep the ship while they conduct a nine month feasibility study to restore her.
