Anyone replaced window tracks?

Post by WolfProperties »

Has anyone removed the windows to redo the track system? I am trying to track down a nuissance leak and plan to do it this winter. I am wondering if it is a very involved job or if there are any tricks and tips you can offer.

Have'nt tackled it yet, but have the same leaking problem on my '75 tri-cabin. I take it your problem is in the salon windows? If you click on this on the Trojan Boat home page:

'TB Stainless Steel Sliding Window Channels and Rails with plastic strips'

you may find what you need to fix. As a stop-gap measure, I ran silicone seal around the bottom of the windows when Ike came up the pike. Figure that's another project to do over the winter.
